Suggested path

  1. Start with Pinyin and the Four Tones so you can pronounce what you read.
  2. Learn the Basic Strokes and Stroke Order before writing.
  3. Open Practice: Basic Strokes and start drawing — strokes are auto-evaluated.
  4. Build vocabulary with Numbers, People & Family, and Nature.
  5. Tie it together with the Grammar lessons.
  6. Open Flashcards any time to review characters you've seen — the deck surfaces the ones you keep missing first.
